PENICILLINASE TYPE I - Introduction
Definition of enzyme activity: an active unit is defined as the amount of enzyme required to hydrolyze one unit of penicillin G for 1 hour at pH 7.0 and 37 C. Character: sterile freeze-dried white or white-like powder. Purity: After SDS-PAGE electrophoresis analysis, it is greater than 95%. The scope of application can be used for the sterility detection and microbial limit detection of β-lactam antibiotic raw materials and their preparations, that is, the sterility detection of β-lactam antibiotics specified in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia (the second part of the 2010 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia Appendix XI H sterility test method) and microbial limit test (the second part of the 2010 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia Appendix XI J Microbial limit test method), it is also used as a reagent specified in the 29th edition of the U.S. Pharmacopoeia for sterility testing (USP-NF General Chapters 71 STERILITY TEST).
